Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I worked for months, working 12- hour days cleaning floors and taking wallpaper down with the baby on my back while the other babies were crawling into the playpen. Ha! The house was starting to look good, but there were a few things left. It would take lots of time and money and shopping my favorite to furnish this home. In order to stay within budget, I began taking my kids to estate sales in search of diamonds. Our routine for the week was to walk from Thursday through Saturday through estate sales and garage sales, buying vintage and modern pieces, as well as spending weekends painting and sanding the driveway. My love for furniture repair started with an appearance like this. No matter what, our house had already been decorated. On the streets I set up a little area and then sold a few pieces. I could outgrow the market because I had many more pieces than I could use. More than 1000 people came to my home in just one weekend, to shop for everything on the ground floor. Growing Days is the result of this. My business was booming, but my family was growing too. I was trying to find that perfect balance of having starting a new venture while also being a mommy. Growing Days was the obvious choice. Nora my 4th child was born in 2013. My company was doing well but I was in need of a break. I took a break from making vintage furniture, and slowed down my pace to be at home to raise the children. It was exactly what I needed. But after a short time, my phone began ringing. They were asking for assistance with interior decorating as well as renovations. A majority of those calling me were from those who came to my house at one of my furniture open houses. After that, I gradually took on more clients, in my own way. Soon I had multiple customers and was operating a business of home renovations. You would probably have laughed at me had you told me it would be the foundation of the DIY Network tv series. As I reflect back, it still makes me giggle.
