Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of similar name, Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. The native of California, Swinson began acting at a very young age. She started working in the industry of advertising and appeared in many commercials. In 1984, she made her debut on screen in an episode of the sitcom on NBC called It's Your Turn. Her big screen debut came just two years later in the romantic drama Pretty in Pink. Swan, known for her breathless voice and blonde hair, has appeared in parts in a variety of roles over the last couple of years. In 1989she was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
